Our graduate scheme is designed for those graduates with the drive and ambition who want to work in an exciting and dynamic industry.
Our two year graduate development programme is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge and experience to builds the foundation for a successful and lasting career. The majority of your time will be spent in the workplace, working on challenging, real-world projects, where you’ll gain hands-on experience and learn from industry-leading experts.
Training and development
As part of our early careers community, you’ll be supported every step of the way, with personal development and behavioural training aligned to our values, role-specific technical and business training and support and dedicated time to work towards professional accreditation. You’ll work with other graduates on the programme on specific projects, attend conferences and become a member of the Nuclear Institute. You’ll also be assigned a dedicated mentor, who will be on hand to answer any questions and offer guidance as you progress your career at NNL.
Constituent parts of the graduate scheme
Commercial work
80% of your time will be spent in the workplace using and developing your skills and knowledge on NNL’s customer funded projects
Personal development
• Behavioural training will be undertaken aligned to the NNL values
• A career mentor will be allocated to you.
• Work on specific Graduate projects
• Contribute to our Education Outreach programme
Professional recognition
• Time will be available to progress your route to professional accreditation
• You will be encouraged to start your journey with the appropriate body.
Technical and business training
• A Technical Induction will be provided plus some generic training courses.
• Additional Technical training may be undertaken dependent on the requirements of the role
• Training in NNL’s Business Operations
